The Collins dictionary says If someone is empowered to do something, they have the authority or power to do it, yet to empower someone means to give them the means to achieve something, for example to become stronger or more successful. One must understand that being empowered to operate in the spiritual domain is linked to the authority and order, given by Christ Himself through the Holy Spirit.
The biggest problem believers have, is their sense of powerlessness together for a quest for spiritual answers. Being empowered in the Spirit, by the Holy Spirit, requires a clean conscience, faith, and the cloak of Christ.
Paul writes in Ephesians 1:18 – 20 (GNB) I ask that your minds may be opened to see his light, so that you will know what is the hope to which he has called you, how rich are the wonderful blessings he promises his people, and how very great is his power at work in us who believe.
This power working in us is the same as the mighty strength which he used when he raised Christ from death and seated him at his right side in the heavenly world. If the authority of Christ is in one, it empowers the believer to do and speak the things of Christ into the spiritual domain. This is sure to bring change to the physical surroundings with the authority of heaven. Therefore, empowered words of the believer are explosive and can achieve what God wills in Jesus’ name.
Dear Father, I rejoice in knowing that I am empowered to speak to problems, and they can be solved, to rebuke the devil and he will flee and to do the works of faith that cause miracles through the Holy Spirit. In Jesus’ name Amen. Dr Cliff Ferguson- Shalom Centurion.
