Good day, only God knows the outcome of the day, lets pray for success.
Carnation flowers originated in Eurasia and have been cultivated for about 2,000 years, as old as the Christian Church, making them among the world’s oldest cultivated flowers. According to the University of Vermont, carnation flowers, in four colors, were used in garlands by the ancient Greeks and Romans. A pink carnation is a symbol of romance, love, affection, eternal and maternal love. A white carnation is a symbol of a friend’s love, happiness, and purity. These affordable flowers are less expensive than orchids and roses and have a vase life of about 5-12 days.
So too a human life has a vase life of about 70 to 100 years, thereafter an eternal life if one lives in the bouquet of God’s kingdom. Paul says:
We have many parts in the one body, and all these parts have different functions. In the same way, though we are many, we are one body in union with Christ, and we are all joined to each other as different parts of one body.
Romans 12:4 & 5 (GNB)
In the body of Christ, we are united to look and be pure through the grace of God and as in a vase of flowers, each flower bringing its own beauty and purpose to the whole picture. The unity of the body gives the world a view of the kingdom, bought not with money but with the precious blood of Christ.
Dear Father, help me today to show divine affection in maternal love to all around me. May my works and actions of the day bring happiness to everyone in my family and friends. Keep me pure in body, mind by Your Holy Spirit. In Jesus name, Amen. Dr Cliff Ferguson – Shalom Centurion.
