Historians write about bodyguards in ancient Greece. Alexander the Great retained a troop of guards used strictly for personal protection. Most of these men were drawn from prestigious Macedonian cavalry units. The best soldiers were used to protect the elite from any personal onslaught. Zip Recruiter states that the average salary of a Presidents bodyguard is about $110 265 per annum, highly paid individuals who are entrusted with the life of the icon.
Yet one forgets that the elite of God, those who have their names written in the book of life have invisible bodyguards namely angles of which we feel the protection but do not know too much about. But here is a scripture in Psalms that Satan tempted Jesus with, Psalm (GNB) 91:11 & 12 God will put his angels in charge of you to protect you wherever you go. They will hold you up with their hands to keep you from hurting your feet on the stones.
It is implied that there are angels all around us, unseen, beings that serve God and guard over His Children also witnessed by Peter, being freed from prison in Acts 12 by an Angel. As God’s children our bodyguards are unseen, in place, and under God’s command.
Dear Father, thankyou for my spiritual covering, knowing that I am your child, protected by the heavenlies with the assurance that God remains faithful to His own. I pray that you will protect me from being tempted, humiliated, disgraced or from becoming ill. Guide me by your Holy Spirit to do your will throughout my day. I pray this in Jesus’ name, Amen.
