Listen to the different sounds in nature as the day starts. However, the night calls of frogs are interesting. The frog book authors say that that listening to frog calls is one of the most reliable ways of identifying a species when out in nature, the call identifies each of the about 169 species found in Southern Africa. Some frog species have aggressive calls made by males towards other males, some have distress calls when bitten by a predator. Albeit each male frog uses its voice to sing, attract and warn. Looking at purpose, God uses frogs to irritate the Egyptian’s at about 1303 to 1213 BC.
The king called for Moses and Aaron and said, “Pray to the LORD to take away these frogs, and I will let your people go, so that they can offer sacrifices to the LORD.”
Exodus 8:8
God used frogs for His purpose, so one should never misplace one’s purpose in life, God can use anyone and anything to His Glory and purpose. If one relies on the Spirit of God to unravel the day, the things we sing, say and mean will come forth with a sense of purpose. Emotions are driven by the feelings created by the sense of knowing that purposeful living is important, and that maturity is gained through life’s experiences. Our voices and calls propagate the emotion, excitement, alarm, and calm in our surroundings.
Dear Lord, allow me to use my voice to praise, worship and adore you. May the words of my mouth be classified as purposeful, useful, bearing a message that is inspired by you and that I may inspire those around me. However, I proclaim that Christ is my strength and the inspiration of my day. In Jesus’ name, Amen. Dr Cliff Ferguson – Shalom Centurion.
