Good morning, as one starts the day instinctively. The word instinctively as described by freedictionary.com: as of, relating to, or prompted by instinct. Arising from impulse or natural inclination; done without thought or conscious effort; spontaneous. A natural inclination is without conscious effort or study. When one does something instinctively it is as if it is a routine task, and the brain follows through with it automatically. What is unique about instinct is that it belongs to each individual or animal, its inherent, and God given.
So too there is a human instinct that is ever present, this is to seek God, its maker. Since the beginning of time humans tried to call on God, a god, or build something that resembles him. Albeit, God is instinctively so close, He is willing and able to answer any call to Him, and those who found God, Jehovah, were protected by Him. Then God gave His Son Jesus, in His image, to satisfy the inclination to search for a real God that one can relate to.
His Son died crucified, by the same people searching for God, so that they could know His love as their father. Galatians 4:6 To show that you are his children, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who cries out, “Father, my Father.”
Dear Father, thankyou for reveling yourself to me through your Son Jesus Christ. I pray that the instinctive work of the Holy Spirit will be done in and through me. May your love shine from my eyes, speak from my mouth and so too be seen in the way I act today, Amen. Dr Cliff Ferguson – Shalom Centurion.
