Good morning, historians allege the world’s first canal was created between 520 and 510 BC, by the Persian emperor, Darius I, who invested heavily in the economy of his newly conquered province of Egypt. He built a canal linking the Nile and the Red Sea. However, Answers.com cites the world’s longest inland waterway open to ocean shipping is the St. Lawrence Seaway-Great Lakes Waterway in Canada, which was opened in 1959. It is 3,790 km in length, from Anticosti Island to the head of Lake Superior.
As canals effect the economy of transportation so the canal God created through his Holy Spirit, internal to the human body directly to God’s throne. This canal is divorced of satanic or demonic influence, it’s a direct link to the guidance of God the Father, Sanctioned by the Son of God on the right hand of the father. The spiritual waterway is an innate transportation system for praise, worship, prayer, questions, answers, blessings, and Godly intervention. When this waterway overflows it brings joy and gladness to the heart and soothes the mind.
Jesus says this in John 7:38 – 39 (GNB) whoever believes in me should drink. As the scripture says, ‘Streams of life-giving water will pour out from his side.’ ” Jesus said this about the Spirit, which those who believed in him were going to receive. At that time the Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus had not been raised to glory.
Dear Father, may the life-giving water of God flow through my spirit, cleanse my mind, bring joy to my heart, and put a smile on my face. Give me patience and understanding so that everyone I meet today may see Jesus in me. Guide me by your Holy Spirit in Jesus name, Amen. Dr Cliff Ferguson – Shalom Centurion.
