Peppermint Crisp

Start the day with something sweet. Times live (2021) cites the Peppermint Crisp as a “heritage” ingredient chocolate. This South African product was created by Rowntree’s Chocolate Factory in East London in the 1960s. It’s a much-loved delicacy and has been used in tarts and cakes as an ingredient. This Chocolate Bar, however, cannot be labeled Peppermint Crisp without it supreme layer of crunchy peppermint between its chocolate covering.

So too bearing the label “Christian” can means one has an inner core that is revived washed clean and a home to God’s Spirit through the baptism into Christ’s Kingdom. The inner core determines the quality of the Christian, or believer, not the label, which often advertises something different. A born-again believer, “God’s Child” is known for his/her fresh, crisp and minted approach to problems, difficult situations and life in general. This is because the inner core, the Holy Spirit, speaks to and hears from God. Our Spirits and minds, lined with messages God gives, confirms the label, “God’s Child”.

Instead, your beauty should consist of your true inner self, the ageless beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of the greatest value in God’s sight.

1Peter 3:4

Dear Father, in this day I would want to be seen and known as God’s Child. Instill in me the ingredients that are required through your Holy Spirit. Bring me to a place where I can show others the good flavours of life, making them taste good and pure insight for your Word, my Bible. Bring upon me a sense of difference showing my label and my inner self being the same. In Jesus name, Amen.
