Remember the days when the radio was the first thing listened to in the morning?

Moody Radio was the first example, of a Gospel radio station and still one of the largest networks, though most of its stations broadcast stand-alone. The first radio evangelist and promotor of a combination of sunshine and spiritual seeking was the Evangelist and faith healer, Aimee Semple McPherson, the pioneer in radio preaching. He started out in booming Los Angeles more than 100 years ago in 1918.

Today radio stations all over the world broadcast the Gospel and music to edify the body of Christ. Paul says this in Romans:

And when you serve Christ in this way, you please God and are approved by others. So then, we must always aim at those things that bring peace and that help strengthen one another.

Romans 14:18 & 19 (GNB)

As so many before us have used the radio waves to reach the billions of believers and non-believers of the world, on must know that the body of Christ should be strengthened at a cellular level, with the Word of God. As one employs media in every walk of life, it should build a healthy mind, strengthen the spirit and all that is seen and heard should be pure and righteous. Rather prevent media from ruling your life with nonsense and use it to the Glory of God.

Dear Lord, I pray that your Word reaches millions of people today. May the grace, mercy and peace of God be known around the whole world to the glory of your kingdom. Help me employ everything I have to glorify your name by proclaiming the Gospel and strengthening others in Jesus holy name, Amen. Dr Cliff Ferguson – Shalom Centurion.
