Good day to you and remember that God is in control of this day.
The Baobab tree is a broad-trunked tropical tree (Adansonia digitata) of the silk-cotton family. I is native to Africa and has an edible acidic fruit resembling a gourd. It’s bark is used for making paper, cloth, and rope. If it is stripped of the bark, it grows back quickly. It has a very wide trunk and is commonly known as the upside-down tree, because its branches look like roots. The baobab fruit is a traditional snack for children, a dietary supplement for pregnant women, and a refreshing beverage like lemonade known as bouye.
As a person, sometimes one looks different to others, may not fit into the same circle of friends, however, everyone has purpose, even though one may be classed as an upside-down tree.
You, LORD, give perfect peace to those who keep their purpose firm and put their trust in you. Trust in the LORD forever; he will always protect us.
Isaiah 26:3 & 4 (GNB)
Knowing that God has placed you in your position, to do what you do best, take courage and know that if you be who you are, and not try to be someone else, you will be successful and be at peace. The upside-down tree is great in stature, looks different, but fills the horizon with a unique beauty.
Dear Lord, take me into your care today, even though I may be stripped of some of my bark, it keeps me humble. I know it will grow back thicker than before. Help me to be there for others who need shade from the sun, or if someone just needs to lean on me, allow me that. I have a godly purpose and a desire to serve others, I take courage in you Lord, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
